Her Pulitzer Prize (Haiku)

Trifles or Inheritors
Ahead of her time!
I saw Inheritors by Susan Glaspell today at DePaul Theatre School with my daughter. It is a remarkable play that, like good theater should, has a lot of universal themes and is therefore very relevant today.
I don’t have a lot of energy this evening after being out for hours, so I wrote the haiku to draw attention to her work and honor my commitment to myself to create and post something.
She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1931 for Alison‘s House. I find it remarkable and not terribly surprising that she was an award-winning, prolific writer but isn’t widely known.
Consider this a recommendation to explore her work!
A Blessing
May you find inspiration, dear reader.
