Because I know how it feels to be objectified and made into “the other”–the faceless, the nameless the object that is easy to discard, use and manipulate for gain–I am remembering on this day to stay human, to see the relationship of myself to everything and to treat life with respect and veneration.

On this Winter Solstice evening, as I anticipate the coming of the Light, the full moon and the lunar eclipse, I claim my sovereignty over my own life, I claim my role as Queen and hold the scepter of responsibility and humility that comes with service to The One.
