"Travel" for Illustration Friday

I am getting ready for my trip to Hawaii presently. I’m doing a presenation for the National Expressive Arts Therapy Association’s Annual Conference in Honolulu. It feels a little scarey but also exciting. I am most delighted that I get to sink my toes into the sand in Kauai for a week after the conference….

I love this magical little plant. I got a start of it from my sister-in-law. Apparently, the original plant was cared for by my partner’s grandmother. I love caring for it as my children grow. I feel as though I’m watering their roots in tandem with the plant’s roots.  

I’ve been having an idealogical conversation with a friend of late. I’m g r a t e f u l for the opportunity to do some self questioning and clarify what I truly believe. The words of Walt Whitman in “All is Truth” pretty much sum up what I believe about Life on this plane….
