shard (tikkun olam)
Tikkun Olam
I was walking in an alley in Chicago today and found several scattered shards of glass reflecting the beauty of the sky and the swaying leaves overhead. It reminded me of the Jewish concept of tikkun olam and this piece by Naomi Newman which I find very healing so I took a picture as a reminder.
When I was at Common Cup, I recorded a snippet of me vibing with some music I heard and loved the texture of the background noise so I decided to make this visual poem with it for today’s creation in my Create-Something-Every-Day-In-October Project.
I created a playlist for this project wherein I’m adding a song every day. Follow along if you wish.
It has been a year of much shattering. I am here for the repair.
A Blessing
May you find your way to healing whatever hurts, dear reader.
